No one seems to look beyond what is projected of Air India. People forget when in trouble it is always Air India that comes to the rescue.Please think of the majority of the employees who are in their 50's and are clueless about what is the future. No regular salaries, nothing to look forward to in terms of career, can't plan for retirement(No pension) huge commitments( children education,EMI's add to this health issues and morale at its low.What is their fault..they continue to diligently deliver.There is no difference between the state of our poor country men who are victimised by whims and fancies of bureaucrats and politicians and the AI employees who are paying for mismanagement and vested decisions...is some one listening....God make Bruce almighty for a day...
"People forget when in trouble it is always Air India that comes to the rescue" --- very true (but isn't it the one of the points in air india charter)"majority of the employees who are in their 50's" -- and why do we have that kind of situation? who's at fault?????"can't plan for retirement(No pension) huge commitments( children education,EMI's add to this health issues" -- even a peon or an unskilled worker plans/budgets his earning accordingly.. so why are you moaning?? air india combined workers are one of the highest paid in the industry and yet u have car and other loans.."God make Bruce almighty for a day" -- make an air india employee the god for one day and he will get all his family members in air india (infants included)
I actually like the Air India video. You are forgetting something here. A320 is 20+ year old technology and the Q400 also uses older technology. 787 on the other hand is completely new from the ground up and a lot of manufacturing process and methodology is still secret. I was happy to get a glimpse of a couple of them.
Thanks for your comments everyone. Pls keep them coming! @Shankar yes but the quality of production of 787 video does not match the finesse the aircraft is positioned for. I felt the the video was worst, check A320 video of IndiGo and Q400 SpiceJet.
may be the Law ministry forgot to approve the full payment for the video?? or the main (better version) video had snaps of Praful and others taking kick backs and Av. Ministry censoring it??
The Indigo video is far superior, dramatic music and visuals the 787 video shouldve been a Steven Speilberg flick, ended up being a B.Subhash type.Very Few people remember the A-320 purchase scandal of the late 80s after the Paris Air Show. After that incident JPC decided that Aircraft orders would only be placed for Aircraft which had both JAR & FAA & ETOPS certification as prequalification and no untested aircraft could be orderd by Ai & IAC.Circa 2004 an excited Thalisidas & MOCA minions chose not 1 but 2 Aircraft which were still untested. ie:787 & 777-200LR ! The 787 was still someones wet dream, and the 777-200 Long Range was not proven. Neverthless the orders were hiked and the aricraft just brought in to thwart Airbus with its long range 340 and medium range 330. All saw what a failure the 777-200 LR was for AI, now lets pray for the 787. 1 BILLION TAXPAYERS MONEY IS INVESTED IN IT !!
